When times are rough and you’re at your lowest you can find hope in the little things. In the cold frigid winds that dig right to your bones, you seek warmth and shelter. The bell chimes above you, and the door hushes the gale outside as it closes. Your hands rub together, and the smell of fresh bread and coffee ride the air. Your eyes wander at the bountiful goods you can’t afford. Except for one thing: Hot chocolate.
Warmth spreads through your fingers. You cradle the cup with a ginger eagerness at the hot sweet hope that spreads through your chest. You look at the darkness outside in a different light. A determination that twinkles in your eye with rejuvenated strength as you walk back into the unknown, refreshed and anew.
Just like how hot chocolate gave my mother and I hope in our darkest hour, it is our desire to utilize our talents to engage in distributing hope, through music, to those in need of respite from life’s hardships.
